You’ve Retained Speech Writer Brian Swan, Now What to Expect?

1. Because the process includes more than just writing, it is encouraged that you contact Brian at least 60 days before your engagement (retaining Brian any sooner to your scheduled speaking time may result in an increased fee). This will give him ample time analyze, gather data and work with you the way a speech should be worked on--thoughtfully and deliberately.
2. Brian requires that you send in a first draft of your speech so that he can learn what message and major points you are aiming to convey. Although many speech writers will agree to write the speech beginning to end, Brian believes this results in transparency. Your audience will most likely know the speech did not come from you or your heart, but from a speech writer instead.
3. After sending Brian a first draft of the speech, he may contact with you any questions or needed clarification. The sooner those questions are answered, the sooner he can progress. You can expect to receive updates, further correspondences and other questions or clarifications along the way. You will receive your finalized speech between 21-14 days before your scheduled speaking engagement, allowing you enough time to rehearse.
4. The final speech may not be sent back for further editions. However, any questions you have on your speech may be freely submitted up to 3 days before your event. Any questions relating to speech content submitted less than 3 days before your event may not be answered.
